GN19-12 series indoor high-voltage disconnect switches

Short Description:

The GN19-12 series indoor high-voltage disconnect switches are suitable for three-phase AC 50Hz power systems with rated voltages of 3.6kV-12kV and rated currents of 1250A or less. They are used to open and close circuits under no-load conditions, providing a clearly visible disconnect point and ensuring safety during maintenance and inspection of electrical equipment.

This product utilizes a dedicated manual operating mechanism for opening and closing, as well as interlocking with high-voltage circuit breakers. It can be installed within a high-voltage switchgear cabinet or as a standalone device.

The conductive parts of each phase of the GN19-12/400, 630, 1000 and 1250 type disconnectors are fixed to the base by two post insulators. For the GN19-12C/400, 630, 1000, and 1250 types, one is a post insulator and the other is a porcelain bushing insulator. The three phases are installed in parallel, and the conductive part consists of a contact knife, a static contact, and a contact seat (or conductive rod). Each phase of the contact knife is connected with a pull rod insulator in the middle, which is connected to the main shaft installed on the base. The main shaft is connected to the connecting rod (provided by the user) and the CS6-1 type moving mechanism through the handle. The moving contact knife is composed of two channel-shaped copper plates. It not only increases the heat dissipation area of the contact knife, which is beneficial for lowering the bottom temperature, but also enhances the mechanical strength of the contact knife, improving the dynamic stability of the switch. One end of the contact knife is installed on the contact seat (or conductive rod) through a bolt (the washer of the vehicle). The other end is separable and connected to the static contact, and the contact pressure of the contact knife is maintained by the springs at both ends. The GN19-12/1000 and 1250 are equipped with magnetic lock plates at the contact points. The purpose of adding the magnetic lock plates is to enhance the attractive force between the two grooved contact knives when a large short-circuit current passes through. That is to say, it increases the contact pressure at the contact point, thereby enhancing the dynamic and thermal stability of the switch. The limit current of the GN19-12/400 and 630 disconnectors is small, so there is no need to add a magnetic lock plate.
