Features of Vacuum Circuit Breakers:
① Small contact gap: The contact gap of a 10kV vacuum circuit breaker is only about 10mm, resulting in less operating work, shorter mechanical travel, and longer mechanical life.
② Short arcing time, independent of the switching current, typically only half a cycle.
③ Fast recovery speed of the medium in the contact gap after arc extinction, providing good performance for breaking near-zone faults.
④ Due to minimal wear during current breaking, the contacts have a long electrical life, capable of breaking 30-50 times at full capacity and over 5000 times at rated current. Low noise makes it suitable for frequent operation.
⑤ Small size and light weight.
⑥ Suitable for breaking capacitive load currents.
Due to its many advantages, it is widely used in substations. Currently, the main models include: ZN12-10, ZN28A-10, ZN65A-12, ZN12A-12, VS1, and ZN30.
